"Color helps to express light—not the physical phenomenon, but the only light that really exists, that in the artist's brain." - Henri Matisse
I love color. I think everyone knows that already. I love vibrant colors the most which are why I am drawn to metallic paints. The radiance and richness they impart are unrivaled by any other paint. It is multidimensional, exquisite when blended to create an enthralling finish.
I suffer from seasonal affective disorder. It means I am SAD sometimes like a blanket of gloom tossed on me. How do I counter it besides all the other stuff like Vitamin D and fancy lights? I use color to cheer myself up. This is my ray of sunshine, my sunset before the starry sky. Orange is one of my favorite colors and when paired with gold, it saturates everything with warmth. Today may be overcast, snowy, icy, and cold but not inside my workshop.
I used Rustoleum's amazing metallic spray line: chrome red, sunlit brass, imagine gold, desert rose, copper, chrome purple, and more. The base was painted with my signature paint color called love and romance. I often am asked how do I blend with spray paint. It's not an easy technique to master. However, if you do, the effect is sublime. If you're curious as to exactly how I have tutorials in my masterclass courses. You can blend with a paint sprayer as well. You can blend with anything.
Into the cradle of the sunset, I float away into my dreams of color and furniture. May this brighten your day
